From Driver to Passenger – When It’s Time to Hand Over the Keys

​“Dad, I think we need to talk about your safety when you drive”.  Does the thought of having this conversation make you nervous?  We can relate. A huge part of our job as concierges is helping to maintain a balance between our client’s sense of independence and their safety.  It’s not always fun to be the voice of reason, especially when many elderly people don’t see themselves as impaired.
Persuading someone to surrender their driving privileges is hardly ever an easy task.  In fact, it’s an issue that comes up with our clients more often than any other! There is no one-size-fits-all solution, but we have some great tips that can help you and your loved one be partners rather than adversaries through the process.
